Founded in 1968, Lori Winter Fest is a popular annual sporting event that takes place every year on the slopes of Mount Tezh (3101 meters), the highest peak of the Pambak mountain range. Competitions in over 15 winter sports and various games take place during the festival, including skiing, volleyball on snow, pillow fights, chess, traditional Armenia wrestling, and many others.

Participants come from towns and villages of the Lori province, as well as other regions of Armenia. The festival’s main goal is to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle among children and youth. Lori Winter Fest, as a rule, takes place in January or February when there’s enough snow in the area.
